KZN Battlefields Route and Natal Midlands Meander
Between the Drakensberg Mountains and the coastal plains of Kwazulu Natal lie the Natal Midlands, a land of farms, rolling hills and pleasant
countryside.
The section of the old R103 that runs from Ladysmith to Pietermaritzburg has been dubbed the Midlands Meander. It's a pleasant relaxing alternative
route to the N3 toll way, with plenty of antiques shops, craft shops, restaurants and art galleries along the way.
The Anglo-Boer War Battlefields of Kwazulu Natal are located near Dundee. The Talana Museum in Dundee has many artifacts and documents related to history of the
Anglo-Boer War.
