Fort Mispah (1859): 8 km

Sevenoaks is a small railway town situated in the forest areas of the Natal Midlands and is adorned with poplar, wattle and gum forests as well as vast spreads of sugar cane land, making for beautiful scenic drives. Sevenoaks is only 20km south of Greytown and is often described as the Jewel of Natal's heartland.

The Sevenoaks area is rich in Bushman paintings as well as Boer war history - the original settlers arrived in 1850. The first Prime Minister of South Africa, Louis Botha was born on a farm in the Sevenoaks area.

This little outpost is always worth a visit whilst in the area of Greytown, which is rich with Indian culture, temples and mosques.
